What with the rain over the last couple of days and preparing for a “grand opening” Saturday, there’s been precious little time to test out the new lens that arrived Friday. Precious little, but not none – here are a few shots from around the house.

Thanks! I’m looking forward to some more time with the lens – it’s a Canon 100-400 mm (equates to a 160 -640 mm lens on a film camera) L-series lens with image stabilization. The bee was shot from about 8 feet, and I think I was about 50 feet from the second titmouse.
