Fire Areas Open With Restrictions; Others Close

The Mountainair Ranger District lifted closure orders for the Ojo Peak, Trigo, and Big Spring Fire Rehabilitation Areas on July 2, 2009. However, restrictions have been placed on the use of motorized vehicles within those areas. The Tajique, New Canyon, and Capilla Peak campgrounds have been closed until December 31, as has Forest Road 245.
